חֵיךְ
חֵיךְm. (b. h. חֵךְ; חָנַךְ) palate; taste. Gen. R. s. 99 (play on חכלילי, Gen. 49:12) חִיכִּי ערב לי the taste in my mouth is sweet to me (Matt. K. חִיכּוֹ its taste); חיך לי לי sweet taste is mine, is mine; Yalk. ib. 160; Keth.111b כל ח׳ שטועמווכ׳ every palate which tastes it, says, (Give) me; Tanḥ. Vayḥi 10 ח׳ לי לי מיינהוכ׳ (give) me a taste of the wine of the Law.Trnsf. (cmp. טַעַם) good sense, persuasive word. Cant. R. to V, 16 (ref. to חִכּוֹ, ib.) יש לך ח׳ גדול (מתוק) מזה is there anything more persuasive than this?
